Level 3 Software Engineer, Entry Level

This position is primarily in the capacity of a Level-3 software engineer for the WPC/GDS product. Job requires resolving customer issues by way of fixing and enhancing code. May also be required to develop new product features. Ability to multi-task, switch contexts & work with global teams. Needs to have a thorough understanding of enterprise software operation. Proactive communication that will result in timely customer updates on problems reported. Strong knowledge of enterprise software development using Java/J2EE, JSP's, JavaScript, JDBC, SQL & relational DB design. Ability & willingness to look at existing source code and drill down to resolution both from a short-term and long-term point of view. Ability to understand functionality based on source code analysis. May be required to be on call weekends depending on severity of customer issues. Major Field of Study: Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems. Knowledge/Requirements: J2EE Software Development; Core Java programming; Java/JDBC/SQL programming; JSP Programming; JavaScript programming; Relational DB design; Unix shell scripting; Application Server deployment; Basic DB admin; Software Development Process; XML/HTML programming; Web Services programming. & Commerce software desirable. Experience with internet and/or ecommerce
software applications. Experience in balancing multiple tasks.
