Life Cycle C++ Developer COM/DCOM experience!

Designs, implements and documents changes and modifications to existing software.
Can also design, implement and document enhancements to this software.

Duties:

* Maintain software products based on internal and external requests.
* Act as mentor to other maintenance engineers.
* Research and evaluate 3rd party tools for use with the proprietary products.
* Give technical and non-technical presentations on the impact of changes to the
proprietary software.
* Provide interface support for 3rd party software providers.
* Interface with internal and external customers on support and maintenance issues as
required.
* Design, develop and maintain software utilities to enhance and maintain the
proprietary software.
* Provide technical expertise in required areas.
* Writes product specifications and designs to include estimations of work based on
knowledge and experience in a given work area.
* Keeps current on latest technology used in the proprietary products.


Requirements:

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, from Windows 95
through Windows 2003 server.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) and Distributed
Component Object Model (DCOM).
* Working knowledge of Microsoft SDK, MFC and .Net Framework.
* Good understanding of XML.
* Good knowledge of Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL) and static link libraries (LIB).
* 8+ years of Lifecycle (Design, Development, Implementation, and Testing) software
development experience (SDLC).
* 5+ years of Lifecycle experience developing applications using C/C++ targeted for
Microsoft
Windows Platforms.
* 5+ years of Lifecycle experience developing object oriented solutions.
* Good working knowledge of C#
* Must exhibit good judgment in decision making.
* Must excel in verbal and written communications.
* Must exhibit excellent problem solving skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Proficient with all of the following tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Office,
Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Bounds Checker.
* Proficient with Relational Database Management Systems.

Additional Skills/Experience:

* Microsoft Certified Software Developer (MCSD).
* Masters in Computer Science (or equivalent) degree.
* Software development experience with Windows CE and/or Pocket PC.
