Linux Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, release, and maintain products containing SoC (system on a chip) devices and/or embedded controllers
Porting of Linux kernel, device drivers, and applications to new hardware platforms
Integration of firmware, hardware, and software
Determining root cause of and resolutions for product problems
Work closely with hardware, firmware, software, and production engineers

Requirements:
BSEE or BSCE or BSCS
At least 3 years of applicable Linux software development experience
At least 2 years programming experience using C++ and O-O
At least 1 year of Linux kernel and/or device driver experience
Experience with distributed, multi-process, multi-thread applications
Good communications skills

Pluses:
Linux 2.4 and 2.6 kernel experience
IP networking knowledge
Serial communication experience
Event driven user interface design
Experience with embedded design
Experience with XScale or other ARM derivatives
