MQ L2 Support

Software Group provides the foundation for On Demand Business. We are the world's largest provider of middleware and the second-largest software business in the world, contributing about 15% of IBM's total revenue and one-third of its profits. We have 40 software research labs worldwide; more than 25,000 developers, 24 on-demand software centers; and 14,000 employees dedicated to open software technologies, including Linux, Java and XML. This job involves working remotely with sophisticated customers running WebSphere MQ, at a high level of technical knowledge, diagnosing data dumps/traces, troubleshooting and debugging complex computer systems to determine a course of action and recommend solutions. Our customer base is worldwide (i.e. Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific). Must be a self-starter, quick learner, and enjoy operating in a challenging and very fast paced work environment. Some shift and/or weekend work is required. Major Field of Study:Computer Science, Information Systems. AIX, Sun, HP, other O/S; Intel skills; Network skills; Analytical/Technical Ability; Communication skills, verbal/written; Adaptability/Flexibility; JAVA knowledge/experience; and RETAIN/CCWIN. Some knowledge of WebSphere MQ helpful but not required. Customer support experience a plus. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, a must.
