Macromedia Developer

APCO Worldwide, a global communication consulting firm, is seeking a talented Interactive Designer/Developer with at least 3 years of experience to lead and assist in interactive development within a fast-paced agency environment.

The Interactive Developer works with project teams, online media strategists, and other Web developers to create interactive solutions for client initiatives. The position will build, test, debug and troubleshoot interactive deliverables for a wide range of project types including Web interfaces, interactive online ads and online tools.

The applicant must be able to work as part of a close-knit, cross-functional project team with both technical and non-technical team members, while also being able to be proactive and function independently. Excellent communication, creativity and problem-solving skills are necessary. S/he must possess extreme attention to detail and a high level of accountability and responsibility.

Technical Experience: 3+ years experience and strong knowledge of hand-coded front-end Web development, including: Coldfusion, Flash (7 & 8), Action Script (1.0 & 2.0), HTML, CSS and JavaScript 1-2 years strong JavaScript experience is a must; AJAX (Advanced DOM and XML) experience is a plus. Knowledge of basic Server-Side scripting, including: Cold Fusion and database connectivity is required. Experience with ASP.NET (VB.Net or C#) or PHP is a plus. Experience building interactive online advertisements and Web sites.

Consulting and/or Agency Experience:Client services or agency experience a plus but not required. Experience working with Marketing and Project teams

Software/Programs:Cold Fusion MX (6+)Macromedia Dreamweaver or Homesite (Hand-coding) Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks, and Illustrator a plus Macromedia Studio 7 (MX) or later Macromedia Flash (7 & 8)

Education:A 4-year degree in a Computer Science, Art, Design or Technology related discipline is preferred.
