Manager, Business Development & Alliances

Job Description:
? Initiate and manage partnerships and alliances beneficial to Trend Micro (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco)
? In bound technology licensing
? Assist in M&A activity as necessary
? Provide a cohesive single point of contact for corporate business development activities which go across organizational divisions.
? Identify key new trends in security and provide forward looking plans to executive management.
? Strategic responsibilities for key initiatives developed via Trend Micro?s internal Idealab. Business concept validation, internal buy-in and product management for initial product prototypes.


Desired Education, Experiences & Skills:

? Undergrad degree in Computer Eng/Science or related technical discipline required.
? MBA preferred
? At least 6-8 yrs of progressive experience in Software/Hardware Product Management. Ideal fields would be (1) Computer and Network security (2) Storage (3) Wireless networks (4) Consumer devices
? Large account/partnership management
? Strategic business planning
? Willing to quickly acquire/build knowledge of company?s products.
? Ability to collect and translate multiple inputs into a well thought out business strategy.
? Ability to achieve both short & long term objectives (to develop strategies to ensure that less pressured but important projects are not overlooked)
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Patient and sensitive towards cross-cultural communications.
? Excellent presentation skills. Must be comfortable presenting and defending material both to Executives as well as large groups.
? Networking skills to effectively plug into the industry.

? Security software (Anti-virus, IDS, IPS, UTM)
? Networking (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)
? Messaging (SMTP, Anti-Spam etc.), Web security (caching, URL filtering etc.)
? High-speed hardware design (Network processors, FPGA etc.)
? Driven, self-motivated person with a determination to achieve company focused objectives/goals
? Team player, high integrity, confidence and maturity. Always win-win focused.
? Ability to quickly develop a smooth rapport with a broad range of personalities.
? Inclusive mentality with a respectful but persistent attitude towards achieving goals.
