Manager, Distribution and Fulfillment Purchasing

Presently we are seeking candidates for a Manager, Distribution and Fulfillment Purchasing, to be responsible for all aspects of Shrinkwrap, Special Order and Hardware procurement as they pertain to our systems and programs and to develop and implement positive process changes.

 

Major Responsibilities: 

 

1. Fulfills management responsibilities by developing and retaining a competent and productive department staff which includes hiring, promoting, transferring, terminating, supervising, coaching and counseling, appraising performance, providing educational growth opportunities (including on-the-job training) and ensuring employee paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

 

2.  Ensures that all internal process flows regarding the procurement of physical product from the instance of customer demand to fulfillment are implemented to assure maximum customer satisfaction. 

 

3. Sets procedures in place to assure that the IC database is consistently maintained in order to keep information accurate and timely for all external and internal customers.

 

4.  Understands and supports ASAP procedures as they relate to Inventory Management, PO Processing and Expediting, Vendor Relations and ASAP Vendor Contracts. 

 

5.  Responsible for accurate and timely processes by team members pertaining to PO Generation and processing, expediting, creation of new SKUs, implementation of timely and accurate costing changes, creation of commission adjustments (if needed) and discrepancy resolution.

 

6. Supports, in a back up role, sales and marketing efforts through appropriate communications and coaching, and fosters that support among team members.  Helps, as needed and as appropriate, in selling situations if called upon.

 

7. Works with management and other departments to recognize need for change and identify, develop, implement and promote process improvements.

Qualifications: 

 

1.  College degree or equivalent courses.

2.  Minimum of one to two years experience in sales, purchasing or customer service  environment.

3.  Basic knowledge of personal computers and PC software.
