MANAGER - PRODUCT MARKETING
OVERVIEW: Responsible for product branding, positioning, messaging, lead generation and general marketing programs through development, launch maturity, end of life and replacement. Work closely with product management, lender, business development and sales teams to develop product messaging, promotions calendar, offers, packaging, sales tools and general field support from a marketing perspective.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage product and applicable corporate messaging, product lead generation, positioning, collateral and promotion. In partnership with directors of products and sales, ensure product marketing and packaging meets customer needs and drives qualified leads for both successful sales and product profitability. Responsible for clear articulation of competitive messaging, positioning, and value propositions. Drive key and consistent product messages through various communication channels. Work closely with directors of products to expand product/service offerings (new features, applications, improvements, etc.) as necessary to adapt product marketing messaging and promotions to changing market/competitive demands. Lead new product marketing launch plan, ensuring all internal and external resources are in place (collateral, Website, PR, sales tools, customer notifications etc.). Develop and manage ongoing product marketing programs to both new and existing customers while tracking ROI on all initiatives. Work closely with Research Analyst, Sales Managers and Product Directors to determine promotion plan for specific products in each target segment including both dealer and lender customers. Support and drive promotions, messaging and marketing support to lender and business development teams. Make recommendations on product pricing, bundling, packaging and manage product marketing budget.
REQUIREMENTS:5-10 years experience in marketing and/or product management with demonstrated success at managing multiple product marketing lines simultaneously through product life cycle ideally in a tech-based B2B environment including experience managing marketing personnel. 3+ years experience and in-depth knowledge of supporting a B2B technology-based field sales team with lead generation, tools and collateral. Automotive experience is a plus. Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent experience. Experience with brand messaging, product messaging, research methodology and strategy. Experience with product lead generation initiatives with a solid track record of generating qualified leads in a B2B environment. Solid relationship management and negotiation skills along with demonstrated leadership experience to work effectively across cross-functional organizational teams.
