Key Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and developing software projects and product development teams. The role requires developing and supporting mission critical desktop software components and services. SPC's Charter is to provide product development building blocks that are relevant across the universe of Intuit products and services in order to increase Intuit's Product Development efficiency and provide for a better customer experience.

Qualifications:

*BS with advanced degree preferred (e.g. MS, PhD. in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical engineering)
* Must have 10+ years significant experience in software development,
* Must have 5+ years managing technical teams in a Internet/Java/J2EE or C#/.net, Unix, Middleware, database and development tools environment
* Must have 3+ years leading 20+ person organizations.
* Must have prior hands-on software engineering experience as programmer, software engineer, developer, etc
* Experience managing/building desktop software products/projects is highly desirable
* Experience working across organizations in both product development and central development roles.
* Experience managing both geographically distributed and virtual teams
* A proven track record of delivering large-scale, highly available systems and quality software products or components.
* Experienced at leading development life cycle process and best practices, significant hiring and mentoring in a technical organization.
* Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical
