Manager of Licensing

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the Licensing Advisors and Licensing Specialists within the Sales Support Services area. Resident expert in all areas of licensing services, and works closely with vendors, operations, sales and customers to bring new programs and offerings to our customer base. Works directly with Sales Management to ensure these resources exhibit direct value to our sales force and to our customers. Responsible for developing the services provided by the team, as well as working with other support groups within the company to ensure the differentiation between the services provided by this team, Vendor Operations, CARE, and Outside Sales remains crisp.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day activities of the team, including direction, coordination and communication to ensure team is operating within strategic objectives
Manage resources effectively to ensure our customers? and sales team?s needs are met in the area of licensing negotiation, licensing education, and licensing support;
Attend regular customer conference calls and customer visits to augment the selling effort;
Work with the team and the Sales Trainer to develop and implement licensing training certification programs throughout the company;
Collaborate with the Marketing Dept. to create and coordinate marketing efforts related to licensing expertise;
Assist team in developing approaches to address account challenges and opportunities related to customer licensing needs. Involves management to review key situations.


Requirements:
Bachelors degree and 8 + years of Sales and/or heavy customer service experience preferred. Equivalent experience or education may be substituted.
Expert level VLM knowledge.
Leadership and/or Supervisory experience required.
Strong presentation, negotiation and research skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills.
Proven business judgment and problem solving skills.
Strategic thinker.
Highly motivated team player that can function with minimal direction.
Flexible and adaptable to a variety of situations.
Ability to travel.
