Manager of Web Analytics

Manager of Web Analytics will oversee the Web analytics team that is responsible for reporting and analyzing Web site data as it relates to marketing, product, and customer behavior. This position will be responsible for generating reports from external and internal data sources, creating actionable trend information, and ensuring that internal constituents have the information necessary to make informed business, marketing, and product decisions.

Essential Functions

? Day-to-day management of Web Analysts to ensure tracking, reporting, and analytics are functioning optimally.

? Works closely with Monster Product and Marketing groups to ensure actionable learning is transferred.

? Educate the company as a whole regarding Web metrics - ranging from terminology standardization to the impact of user behavior on key conversion and revenue factors.

? Assisting the Product team with defining key metrics for product success and developing business cases (including ROI); financial justification for new service offerings and enhancements; identify new product opportunities through data interpretation.

? Working with Product to optimize features and functionality around usage, page yield and relevance and to set benchmarks and establish analytics for key performance criteria.

? Work with Marketing to perform analysis ranging from clickstreams to deep data dives driven by demographic and psychographics data.

? Determining the requirements for, managing the implementation of and training the end-users of a distributed reporting tool.

? Develop best practice approaches for analyzing user behavior on the web site(s); as well as general tracking set-up, and data interpretation.

? Build and manage a team and develop internal talent for web analytics.

? Analyze web site performance and trends, and click stream path analysis activity

? Conduct Ad-Hoc Traffic Analysis of key areas of the site

? Develop and evolve monthly Web Traffic Reports

? Participate in the design and site flow to make sure that all metrics are built into the system.

 

Qualifications

? BA or BS with strong analytical skills.

? Minimum of 4 years direct response industry experience.

? Must have experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent.

? Web Analytics experience required.

? Experience with Web Analytics tools required (WebTrends, Omniture, NetTracker, Visual Sciences, etc.)

? Proficiency with business intelligence tools required (BO, Cognos, Hyperion, etc.)

? Basic level scripting skills required (Perl, JavaScript, VBscript, etc.)

? Experience with syndicated marketing research tools preferred (MediaMetrix, NetRatings, etc.)

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
