Marketing Program Manager

Our client, a leader in the EAI/B2B software integration space, is looking for a candidate to fill an open Marketing Program Manager role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Program Manager is dedicated to the achievement of region, team and company goals by formulating and executing integrated, strategically-focused marketing plans for the sales divisions in an assigned region. Manages the execution of multiple highly complex and/or strategic marketing campaigns and activities. Works closely with staff members, the sales team and corporate marketing groups to drive results that equal the region?s market potential through the expansion of Sterling Commerce?s footprint in the existing customer base and into new customer accounts. Serves as communication liaison between marketing and the regional sales team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Business/Communications/Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Five years experience managing and/or leading marketing campaigns that vary in scope and complexity; previous experience working on or collaborating with a highly driven sales team as demonstrated through a solid understanding of software sales cycles. Ability to utilize marketing and technology expertise in the implementation of Regional Marketing Plans for sales divisions. Individual should be knowledgeable about the market, understand how the products and technology fit into the overall industry and successful in working with teams in a matrix organization. Communicates ideas and information in a form well matched to and well received by others. Invites productive and regular exchanges of information among team members. Requires strong written and oral communication skills, as well as good interpersonal and customer relations? skills. Identifies and works effectively with key stakeholders on cross-functional teams or work group projects. Deals well with tough political situations. Networks effectively. Self-driven, results-oriented and a clear focus on high quality and business profit; with the ability to work under limited supervision. Works with management to effectively and creatively solve complex problems and accurately defines the amount and kind of information that must be gathered for problem solving. Proactively works to circumvent roadblocks to solutions.
Though internal staff management is not initially part of the job, responsibility and opportunity could grow with the development of the business. Some people-management skills, experience and natural ability will be useful. Should be able to successfully operate in an organization that places a high value on loyalty to employees. Will have a controlled ego, demonstrated by being open-minded, a progressive thinker, a listener and an individual who is comfortable with participation from fellow employees.
