Member Technical Staff-Software Test Lead

Job Summary:
Our ?Member of Technical Staff? positions develop innovative technologies, prototypes, components, processes and/or algorithms in their area[s] of specialty to successfully execute contract work or develop new business opportunities. Our ?Member of Technical Staff? positions will generally have job responsibilities dealing with solving complex problems, creating technical innovations, acting independently or with little supervision and serving as a liaison internally [with technical and business development staff] and externally [with clients, prospective clients and other interested parties]. Our Members of Technical Staff can also expect to have responsibilities or involvement in the areas of Leadership, Administration and Business Development as it relates to their particular business area. Chosen candidate must possess excellent communication [verbal, written and listening] and organizational skills, and be an experienced group speaker/presenter. Experience in managing projects and/or tasks strongly preferred.

Essential Job Functions:
The selected candidate will focus on leading the testing of Sarnoff software products throughout the product life cycle, beginning with the analysis of requirements for the development of test plans and procedures and following through to the successful completion of product testing. Responsibilities include close co-operation with the development team for defect reporting, tracking, and remediation.

Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires a BS in Computer Science or relevant discipline and 5+ years experience in software test development, including developing and implementing test plans, procedures, and scripts for commercial software products for technical applications. Experience in software development is also desired. Must have some leadership experience.
Strong skills in C++/C on Windows 32 platforms, as well as scripting experience (e.g., Perl, Python), are required. Experience with Visual Studio v7.1 is desired.
Experience with functional systems test, software engineering processes, and object oriented design and development required. Experience with version control and configuration management is required.
Experience in regression testing and real-time image/video processing on a PC platform is desired.
Due to requirements for US Government contractors, this position requires US citizenship or permanent residency. Projects may require US Government Security Clearance; therefore a current Security Clearance or the availability to obtain Security Clearance is desirable.
