We are seeking a Microstrategy Developer in our Tyson?s Corner location. To be eligible for this position, candidate must be a US citizen and able to pass a Federal background investigation. 

 

As a Senior Microstrategy Developer, you will be a hands-on developer responsible for assisting the team in the design, development and maintenance of MGS? Business Intelligence (BI) application, which will be used for reporting and analysis across our 100+ QuickHire Enterprise Hiring Management Solution customer base.

Job responsibilities

 

? Perform technical tasks such as data modeling, application modeling, report development, customization, performance optimization and deployment support

? Leverage Microsoft SQL Server, DTS and MicroStrategy as tools for the DW/BI application development.  Design logical and physical star schema data models within SQL Server. Develop complex analytic queries using SQL.

? Provide production support to the business intelligence infrastructure, including bug resolution and enhancements of existing solutions and ensuring that servers/services are functioning properly. Ensure the integrity, reliability, efficiency, and data quality of the BI design and resulting infrastructure.

? Maintains a set of detailed documents that accurately depict the report and data environment.

 

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial passion for designing and developing high quality, high performance BI applications that lead to market success. 

 

Minimum qualifications include:

? 3+ years of technical experience designing, implementing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using MicroStrategy

? Experience with Microstrategy 8 Product Suite including Narrowcast Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Data Transformation Services

? Advanced SQL skills.

? Experience leveraging software development best practices and tools.

? Excellent communication skills; ability to work well in a team environment.

? Experience in star schema data modeling.

? Solid understanding of ad hoc, query-based, and/or OLAP technologies.

? 4-year College degree from a major university with a degree in Computer Sciences or related field.

? Knowledge of Interbase databases a plus.
