Senior Consultant is an individual contributor in the Microsoft Security and Infrastructure practice.  Senior Consultants perform complex technical assignments to support a client and Idea Integration project teams.  Professionals in this role are expected to deliver technology solutions, best practices, techniques, etc., with clients in the completion of complex technical assignments and to maximize Idea?s value to clients.

Industry certifications: MCSE/MCSP preferred, MCSE/MCSP with CISSP desirable

Experience and Education
Senior Consultants typically have 5+ years of experience delivering and assisting in the planning and management of Microsoft infrastructure technology solutions to support business goals and initiatives.  A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Engineering or equivalent formal Technical education preferred.

Technical Knowledge and Experience
? Experience performing problem solving, troubleshooting, diagnosis, determination, and resolution of MS Infrastructure technology solutions ? specifically Exchange.
? Ability to express technical knowledge, procedures and processes via a clear, easily understood presentations and written deliverables.
? Experience planning, architecting, designing, deploying and supporting Exchange solutions for high availability and scalability
? Experience planning and implementing the following solutions is required:
o Active Directory migrations
o Novell to Windows migrations
o Exchange migrations
 From GroupWise
 From Notes
 Other email systems a plus
o Identity Management, a plus
? Strong knowledge and experience with Windows 2000/2003
? Strong knowledge and experience with Windows NT/2000/2003/XP
? Experience assisting in the planning, architecting, designing, and deployment of one or more of the following is a plus:
o Active Directory
o MOM 2005
o SMS 2003
o MIIS
o Virtual Server and/or VMware
? Knowledge of Microsoft ISA server 2000/2004 a plus
? Experience with SAN and backup solutions a plus
? Knowledge Firewall and router configuration; switches, secure network architecture, VPNs a plus

General Responsibilities
? Assists in pre-sales support activities including proposal development, providing work estimates, assisting in the preparation and/or delivery of presentations to clients and recommending potential solutions to client requirements.
? Analyses client requirements and recommends technical solutions that meet client requirements and expectations.
? Conducts client training as required.
? Strengthens expertise in one or more technology platforms, solution areas and/or industries through on the job experience, attendance at technical seminars and formal training and certification.
? Maintains technical certification in one or more technical solutions.
? Interviews new hire candidates.
