Mid-Level to Senior Software Architects / Enterprise Software Products

My client, a leading web-based enterprise software product
development company has several openings for mid-level and
Senior Software Architects. This company, publicly held and is
and very profitable is based in Massachusetts.

These positions are for software architects to lead the technical
architecture and design for all product development efforts. These
individuals will work with engineering, product management,
marketing, and other groups to help ensure the long-term success
of the product development efforts. While the primary
responsibility is for architecture and design, some hands-on
development work may be required.

Candidates must have significant experience in the development of
enterprise-scale software applications. The ideal person has led
software architecture and design efforts in a product company, and
has demonstrated the ability to lead the design and development of
complex applications software in a highly paced environment.

Requirements:
- 5 + years professional experience in software development, at least 2 as a software architect.
- Experience developing enterprise software applications, in a software product company.
- Experience with and thorough understanding of multi-tiered software architectures required.
- Experience in Windows and Unix environments.
- Experience with Java, web servers and J2EE application servers.
- Sound understanding of Web Services standards and protocols.
- Experience with major databases, especially Oracle, SQL Server, DB2.
- BS or BA Degree at a minimum, advanced degree preferred (degree from a top technical university preferred)
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required
- Local MA, NH, or RI candidates only
