.NET Software Engineer

Develop estimates and participate in planning the development effort. Including business requirements, scope definition, software specifications and overall system design and implementation details for each project. Collaborate with other development personnel to identify the best solutions. Participate in new development efforts as well as support and maintenance of existing systems (assisting in trouble shooting problems in existing software solutions). Document and execute unit testing for each effort. Assist in the creation of system documentation of the developed solutions. Provide direction, guidance and leadership for teams focused on software delivery. Promotes and influences best practices in design and development approaches, including acting as coach and mentor to other developers. Develop high quality solutions that adhere to all coding standards including the required steps to migrate developed solutions from a development/testing environment through staging environments to the production environment.All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Qualifications :
Four-year college degree required (BS in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field). Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and multi-tasking capabilities. 5+ years of software programming experience including analysis, design, development, testing and deployment. Object-oriented programming language preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision / instruction. 3 - 5+ years of experience with all or most of the following languages / platforms: C#, VB6, VB.NET, classic ASP, ASP.NET, and IIS. SQL Server, VSS, Windows 2000+, Windows XP, In-depth knowledge of the .NET framework. Experience with web based applications utilizing state and session management. Experience with MS SharePoint and MS BizTalk, Progress DB and development environment, data warehousing a plus. Broad knowledge of data modeling techniques. Working knowledge of relational databases. Strong oral and written technical and non-technical communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels in the company. Candidate must have strong written technical communication skills in order to assist in the development of formal system documentation following established formats. Experience using MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Project and MS-Visio.
