.NET / VB Programmer

People 2.0 is a rapidly growing, national staffing firm based in the suburban Philadelphia area. We are seeking a motivated .NET / VB Programmer & Application Specialist to work in our Support Service Center ? a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that offers variety and considerable growth opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a technologist familiar with Microsoft tools and methodologies. As a member of a small IT team, your primary objective will be to develop software in access/VB, SQL and web applications (ASP .NET) as per specifications.

? Possess a Bachelor?s Degree (BS or BA) that is technical in nature (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS)
? Work effectively in a team environment.
? Be a self-starter with capability to learn new processes and technologies quickly, with minimal guidance.
? Possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
? Have a desire to take ownership of tasks to completion.
? Be committed to quality software, both from a functional standpoint and internal code quality.
? Possess communication skills appropriate for end-user, customer contact.
? Enjoy providing technical support to call center / helpdesk team

Technical Requirements:

? Visual Studio .NET 2003, VB within an Access Program
? Windows 2003/XP, IIS
? SQL Server 2000. Solid knowledge of SQL, triggers, SP?s, functions.
? Min. one year experience developing application software, client/server software and/or web-based application.
? Experience designing and executing test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are fulfilled

Additional skills that would add value:

? Knowledge of SQL 2005 and Reporting Services
? Experience with SharePoint services
