NOC Engineer/Jr. Systems Engineer

LiveOps is a Pre-IPO company based in Palo Alto that has been profitable for several years. We have doubled in revenue and profit each of the last two years. The company is founded by much of the original development team of Netscape, a couple of the original architects of AOL, and a few key players from TellMe and Microsoft.

NOC ENGINEER / JR. SYSTEMS ENGINEER

In this role, you?ll provide monitoring and support for both client applications and LiveOps? linux-based systems. You?ll also develop and improve our automation and monitoring systems, and participate in 24x7 on-call support for service infrastructure. You will serve as our first line of defense when a problem arises with our network or callcenter, and you will likely work odd hours (including some overnights).

Requirements:

? At least 1-2 years in a Linux production environment supporting at least 50 machines
? Experience using Apache and MySQL in a production environment
? Solid troubleshooting skills
? Excellent prioritization skills
? Experience developing with LDAP, Nagios, Apache, Perl, Sendmail a plus

Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, ability to take ownership, and the ability to identify and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment. Experience with MySQL database administration/replication is a plus, but not required.
