NOC Systems Analyst/ Help Desk Support

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
As a Network Operations Technician (Tier 1 support) you will work closely with Network Support Engineers (Tier 2 support) and Development Engineers (Tier 3). Our team of skilled NOC technical analysts is responsible for the 24x7x365 monitoring and maintenance of health for a highly available proprietary server application that provides data content to mobile devices.

Primary responsibilities include:
-Monitor production systems to assure system uptime meets SLA
-Escalate production incidents to on call engineers
-Closely coordinate status of incidents with customer
-Closely coordinate maintenance activities with customer
-Dispatch trouble tickets in support of production, staging, test, and lab environments
-Build handset device bundles in support of handset development teams
-Provide report data for SLA reporting
-Maintain and improve monitoring via HP OpenView
-Willingness to develop internal tools to aid in various monitoring tasks Skills and Experience required from ideal candidate:
-Good communication skills, written and oral
-Unix or Linux experience
-IT Service Operations Center experience, i.e. NOC, datacenter, or lab
-Understands the process of escalations and NOC processes
-Understands basic networking fundamental such as TCP/IP, the use of routers, switches, servers, SNMP
-Willing to work in a shift based environment (day, swing, nights)
-SQL experience a plus
-HP OpenView experience highly desired
-Knowledge of PERL scripting a plus
