Position Overview:

 

The main focus of this individual is to add value by supporting the e-Strategies group through the development of .NET based solutions with regards to our internal and multi-million dollar e-commerce websites.

(Clients)  IT team is in an exciting and highly motivated group that strides for the best with the use of cutting edge technologies.  Future projects for the team include building multiple new Ecommerce sites.

 

DUTIES:

 Primary responsibility include e-commerce development for our ever growing company primarily using Asp.Net 1.1 and Asp.Net 2.0 development language and SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 databases.Ramp-up period will require gaining knowledge and understanding of business logic as applied to the website and through other business channels.Integration of our other e-commerce systems with our back-end ERP system.Develop high-end .NET Web-based applications & Web Services using MS SQL 2000 & 2005 Server.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

? Minimum 3 (three) years of experience with .NET programming.

? Minimum 5 (five) years of experience with Microsoft technologies.

? Proficient in ASP.NET with knowledge of ColdFusion is a plus.

? Experience with technologies involving .NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and XML development.

? Strong database skills with regards to SQL Server 2000 & 2005, stored procedures, and DTS.

? Knowledge of SQL 2005, SSIS, and reporting services but not required.

? Knowledge in Object Oriented programming and design

? Experience in dealing with an existing codebase, and migration of that codebase to newer, updated technologies.

? Ability to write emails and handle conversations in a coherent, cohesive, and professional manner

? Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, staff members, and customers.

? This candidate needs to be a team player that is self motivated and can work without supervision.

? Candidate needs to be comfortable in an environment where they will be required to conduct a professional and politically correct demeanor all the time.

? Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

?  Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule form instructions.
