We are seeking an experienced professional for a Software Developer/Analyst position. The primary responsibility of the Software Developer / Analyst is to help maintain the current product, and extend the core functionality of the UNITIME Automated Timekeeping System to deliver maximum time and attendance functionality to our customers.  This person will work on multiple projects, meet project commitments and pro-actively maintain existing products while innovating new ones.  The best person for this role will have strong familiarity with SQL, C#, Delphi, TCP and/or serial communication protocols, and the .NET environment.  Working with business analysts, database administrators and quality assurance engineers will be a critical component of this role.  This person will take direction from Project Managers and head of Development.

 

Major Responsibilities / Activities: 

 

?   [50%] Multitask to accomplish the following goals:  Meet project commitments; Pro-actively maintain existing products while innovating new ones; Fix bugs, make minor enhancements when necessary, and assist QA in developing test modules

?  [20%] Design, implementation, and debugging of components application infrastructure and business logic

?  [20%] Interact with managers, business analysts, DB administrators, and quality assurance engineers

?  [5%] Derivation of technical specifications from feature requests for design of systems and components

?  [5%] Communicate as analyst or technical advisor with other developers for necessary areas of discovery

?  NOTE:  Supervisory and/or management responsibilities are not required for this position


Minimum Requirements: 

 

This individual must be a skilled programmer with the following skills and experience:

?  A BS degree in CS or equivalent

?  Minimum 2 years of development experience developing commercial software applications

?  Minimum 1 years experience in Microsoft technologies:  .NET, VB, C#, C/C++

?  Demonstrable experience with the following protocols:  TCP, SQL, serial communications

?  Knowledge of the following is preferred:  Delphi, Win32, Linux, modem programming, embedded devices

?  Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving experience for implementation, debugging and testing

?  Excellent requirements analysis and design skills

?  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

?  Ability to work as a team player in directed environment, but also operate independently as a self-starter

?  Ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment, and achieve designated goals and milestones
