The Exchange Administrator will ensure the stable operation of in-house Exchange e-mail messaging systems and the corresponding hardware and software. Includes: planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network connections and communication links. Responsible for the operations and maintenance of a portion of the Army Enterprise Infrastructure in Europe and maintaining a USAREUR wide messaging and calendar system utilizing Microsoft Exchange 2003. Additionally, the individual will augment and assist the Call Center with the resolution of all types of user calls, the engineering of new user accounts and the understanding and the ability to administer general SMTP mail routing utilizing mail appliances or ~sendmail.(TM) Other duties will include supporting Windows servers, Active Directory and application servers.

Qualifications
Must have at least three years of installation and support experience with MS Exchange. Must have five or more years experience solving PC hardware and software problems in a networked environment. All aspects of Exchange mail administration and troubleshooting such as problems related to account, mailbox, distribution lists, public folders, or other server related issues. Assisting with the management of other SMTP mail routing, Windows 2000, Active Directory and Windows NT Server installation, administration, and support. Assisting with any Windows server related installations and projects and managing server related tasks or projects as needed. Previous experience rolling out or upgrading Exchange or migrating to Exchange from another messaging platform. Hands on installation and support experience with Windows 2000 and 2003. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and issues. Strong understanding of MS NT domain and Active Directory concepts and issues. Strong understanding of open mail and directory standards such as SMTP, IMAP, POP and LDAP. Must have excellent communications skills. Proven track record working on projects both alone and as part of a team. BS degree or equivalent combination of professional training and work experience. Exchange 2003 (use/perform) MS Exchange Server, Install/Support MS Exchange Mail Mgmt.
