Title: Senior Network Engineer

 

ZANTAZ is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to provide computer networking expertise in support of ZANTAZ services and missions. This includes support of all company departments, computer hardware and software setup and maintenance, and participation in customer implementation and support.

 JOB DUTIES

-  Manage the Corporate and Production LAN/WAN infrastructure; ensuring stability, performance and security are a priority.

-  Implement and manage multiple Cisco, Foundry, Nokia (CheckPoint), and Extreme hardware.

-  Support the network infrastructure including hardware and software components.

-  Monitor throughput and performance; tune and upgrade components as required.

-  Lead the design and implementation of new network technologies within ZANTAZ's core networks

-  Support remote access for Corporate and Production networks; Avaya, RedCreek.

-  Maintain network infrastructure policies, procedures and other documentation.

-  Establish and maintain working relationships with outside hardware, software and service providers.

-  Interact closely with other groups within the company and be responsible for providing training to network support groups.

-  Provide 24X7 on call support when needed.

 QUALIFICATIONSAbility to work cross functionally in a positive and supportive manner. Ability to plan and communicate is required. Will frequently be interacting with business partners, vendors and/or functional peer groups and will interact with senior management. Ability to practice good judgment in dealing with unforeseen issues that may arise. Ability to manage, mentor and work with other Systems Administrators and Network Engineers. Proven skills to assess complex problems and situations and make sound decisions. Ability to initiate and complete new projects with minimal direction and guidance, and conduct them through a project life cycle which includes requirements analysis, design, planning, evaluation, implementation, and formal presentations. Ability to present technical information and convey knowledge to peers and other IT staff.

 

EXPERIENCE

-  10+ years experience in computing or communications with a strong emphasis on data network design and planning. 

-  Must have a CCIE certification.

-  Must be experienced working with CheckPoint firewall.

-  Extensive knowledge of security practices/technologies, VPN, proxies, system hardening, and security policies. 

-  Must possess a complete understanding of complex network designs using high-speed technologies including ATM and Gigabit Ethernet. 

-  Experience in Enterprise Networking LAN/WAN field, including experience in corporate implementation and maintenance of Network Routing, Gateways, and basic NT and UNIX administration in a TCP/IP environment. Knowledge of the following protocols: Ethernet, TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, SNMP, HTTP and CORBA EDUCATION

-  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

-  CCIE certification is required other network.
