Offshore Program Mgr Content

Description: This position will help WK identify and leverage opportunities to offshore significant aspects of content conversion and maintenance, editorial and production functions.

o Facilitate the outsourcing of suitable opportunities in electronic and print publishing workflow.
o Work with leaders in various Business Units to identify suitable pieces of work within content conversion and maintenance, editorial and production functions etc. for offshore migration
o Review the current utilization of offshore vendors and facilitate the creation of a viable supplier strategy to meet WK's current and future needs
o Work with various business units in successful migration of identified workflow components to offshore suppliers; risk management and ongoing issue resolution
o Set up and deploy supplier performance management framework
o Manage day to day relationship with offshore suppliers
o Create offshore Best Practices and facilitate institutionalization across WK
o Account for and report on utilization of offshore resources
o Review and monitor Master Services Agreements, Statements of work, etc.

Qualifications:
o 4 year degree required
o 5 years of experience in managing various workflow components in electronic and print publishing industry
o 3 years of experience in working with offshore suppliers
o Graduate degree preferred

Skills, Abilities & Certifications

Required
o Understanding of electronic and print publishing workflows, specifically in editorial, production, content conversion and maintenance functions
o Understanding of offshore landscape and capabilities of relevant offshore suppliers
o Familiarity and exposure to structured processes and methodologies and metrics based approach
o Experience managing mixed teams, internal company and consultant resources
o Strong business analysis skills
o Very experienced with the creation and management of project plans, scope and budget
o Self starter with a very results oriented, proactive management approach that focuses on getting the job done
o Strong leader, with superior problem solving skills and analytical thought process.
o Ability to resolve conflicts and gain consensus through mediation and collaboration
o Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills. Ability to work at all levels of an organization
