Oracle DBA Admin III

Summary

Overall and detailed management and support of Oracle applications and databases.  Interact with peers and management to support the productivity goals in compliance with Panasonic Avionics policies and procedures .DutiesProvide system/application support in the resolution of Oracle database and application issuesInstallation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle application / server software and related productsMaintain server / application patch levels Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures Manage the Database design and implementation Provide development and test environment clones and builds as needed Implement and maintain database security Perform database tuning and performance monitoring Perform application tuning and performance monitoring Setup and maintain documentation and standards Plan growth and changes (capacity, performance, security planning) Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support as required Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams Maintain awareness of Industry developments and best practices to evaluate technologies, tools and processes to provide Panasonic Avionics Corp a competitive advantageEvaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support. Ensure compliance and adherence to Company and IT goals, policies, and proceduresManage and support the growth and development of other DBAAbility to quickly analyze and troubleshoot issues and provide proactive monitoring of databases and applications.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDBS in computer science or at least 7 years of extensive related experience and Oracle certification5 years Sr. DBA experience with minimum 2 years DBA experience in Oracle 11.5.x Applications environment is preferredSolid experience with SQL, PL-SQL, UNIX shell scripting, Meta-Frame, Oracle 8-10x databases, Oracle Web/Applications servers, Discoverer, and J-InitiatorDemonstrated experience in installation, configuration, and upgrading Oracle ERP ApplicationsExperience with database monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuningAbility to work and multi-task within high-pressure 24x7x365, global environmentDemonstrated exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skillsAbility to evaluate and troubleshoot complex systems at the system levelKnowledge of custom compliance software, database and production applications is a plusDemonstrated successes in program and project management role(s)Strong understanding of the Oracle databases and related utilitiesDemonstrated understanding and experience with Oracle database tools (i.e. OAM, OEM)Experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows environmentsA strong understanding of the underlying operating system A solid knowledge of the physical database design Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios A good knowledge of Oracle security management and data integrityA strong understanding and experience in how Oracle acquires and manages resources Complete knowledge of the implemented application systems Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning Provide a strategic database direction for the organization Proven ability in the handling multiple projects and deadlines
