Oracle Developer (Oracle Applications Programmer)
The Oracle Developer will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, modifying and creating programs for accessing an Oracle database. The programmer is expected to have experience coding, testing, debugging and installing software in general and is expected to manage source code and document programming appropriately. The programmer must be expert in Oracle Forms, Oracle PL/SQL and SQL, and be very familiar with Oracle databases in general. The programmer needs to have experience with creating input forms, creating reports and performing ad-hoc query and analysis. The programmer is also expected to be able to discuss requirements with users, do basic requirements analysis, to sometimes develop specifications and programs from ad-hoc specs, to work with testers and end-users to get feedback, and to have sufficient experience and judgment to plan their own time and to accomplish goals. The programmer will report to VP Technology and will not manage any employees.
Requirements:
? Strong skills and experience with Oracle?s PL/SQL and Oracle SQL
? Significant experience with Oracle Forms (Developer/2000)
? Experience programming applications that read/write to SQL databases
? Experience with report-writing tools like Oracle Reports or Crystal Reports
? Experience with ad-hoc query/analysis tools like Brio Explorer or MS-Access
? Experience with office productivity software such as MS-Word, MS-Excel, etc.
? Must be proficient in speaking and writing English
Advantages:
? Experience with the specific products mentioned above
? Experience with Oracle?s HTML-DB product
? Experience with SQL*Loader
? Experience with basic batch-file scripting for Unix and/or DOS
? Experience in healthcare
? Experience with Visio for documenting processes and programs
