Oracle Developers

Credit Suisse has several immediate opportunities for Oracle Database Developers to participate in the development and support of strategic intranet and internet software projects with high visibility supporting core business processes globally across the firm.

The employee will be responsible for development of database stored procedures and scripts for the Derivatives Results Database.
This responsibility includes:
?low-level design
?PL/SQL programming
?unit test construction
?participation in integration testing
?participation in user acceptance testing
?performance analysis
?deployment script development
?production support

 

Development of database stored procedures and design of the data model to support the user requirements. Work closely with analysts to understand business requirements, follow the analysis through into detailed design and implementation in the underlying code. Detailed unit testing and working with the component acceptance testing teams to ensure successful release to production. Model, design, development and unit testing of the user requirements. Assistance during user testing. Agreeing and enforcing coding standards and quality control procedures. Support of the component and acceptance test phases investigating and resolving defects. Documentation.

 

Required Skills:
4 or more years as Oracle PL/SQL developerExperience of working to a structured methodology. Entity-relationship modeling. Strong understanding of SQL. Knowledge of XML schemas.


Desired Skills:
Experience with data warehouse. Experience of development of mission critical applications. Knowledge of financial markets products. Knowledge of Derivatives products (Credit, Interest Rate, Equity, Fund Linked Products).

4+ years working in a commercial environment within a structured environment
