Oracle Systems Analyst

Adecco Technical is currently recruiting for a Oracle Systems Analyst for our premier client located in the Portland Metro area.

Please review description below:

-You will be supporting our client?s Oracle Financial Systems (OFS) application providing program, development and technical support.
-Serves as direct liaison between our client's users, and Oracle Financial System support.
-Assures business processes provided by OFS are maintained at optimum levels.
-Provides a communications and support services path between client's third party system providers (i.e., Ceridian) and the Accounting Division?s users of those services.
-Provides programming, development, and maintenance solutions as required for OFS and other third party vendors servicing the Accounting Division.
-Provides Oracle Financials database maintenance and updates as required to assure performance standards are met and corruption instances are remedied.
-Investigates and resolves for the user community OFS software problems.
-Receives telephone calls from users having problems using the OFS software or inquiring how to use specific OFS software
-Talks to user to learn procedures followed and source of error.
-Answers questions, applying knowledge of OFS software and procedures.
-Asks users with problems to participate in diagnostic procedures, using diagnostic software, or by listening to and following instructions.
-Determines whether problem is caused by OFS software or level of user training.
-Work with users to resolve system/process problems.
-Calls OFS vendor to request service regarding defective product.
-Speaks directly with OFS support to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs.
-Ensure that the OFS application continues to parallel clients accounting business strategy.
-As required, will support IT Quality Assurance performing validation (QA) of OFS and other software to evaluate and assure accuracies of our client's systems and products.
-May write or revise user training manuals and procedures.

Working knowledge of the following:
-Oracle Financial Systems
-Structure Program Development
-Knowledge of IT concepts, practices, controls and procedures.
-Experienced in supporting multi-tier systems.
-Experienced in user/application vendor liaison
-Experienced in performing software validation
-Experience with Windows, SQL, and the complete MS Office Suite.

*This is a position that requires the work to be performed on-site in a normal 40 hour workweek Mon - Fri during standard business hours unless otherwise stated.
