PC Specialist Sr.

Pentel of America, Ltd., a leader in the writing instrument field, is seeking a full time: PC Specialist Sr.

 

 

OVERALL PURPOSE: Responsible for planning, coordinating, maintaining, repairing, and supporting information systems hardware, applications, and Information Technology activities for company PC based information processing.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

 Configuring required and requested user systems, troubleshooting systems problems, performing user analysis and recommending appropriate systems, software and hardware for implementation. Supports internal company information systems including E-mail and user area specific applications.Will support the installation of systems hardware, firmware and software and resolve problems that develop in those areas.Also provides support of remote access systems, Internet connections and other systems.Coordinates external services for repair, maintenance and development of PC workstations.

 

Education and/or Experience:Associate degree or 3 years equivalent work experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and General Abilities:

 In-depth knowledge of PC systems hardware and software information systems, systems application analysis and systems troubleshooting skills.Advanced working knowledge of applicable computer and applications software, principles and procedures for PC based information systems implementation and use. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.Effective application of PC systems knowledge in support of internal company information systems operations and timely response to internal employee and department information processing needs. Providing adequate troubleshooting and backup for user systems.

 

Other Special Skills and Abilities:

 Resolution of operating problems experienced by PC systems users and troubleshooting of systems-based problems.Makes decisions regarding the most cost and time effective approach to the resolution of operational systems issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office software.PC Desktop knowledge and usage required.
