Job Description:
Fortress Technologies, Inc. develops security solutions for the wireless networking industry.
We currently have a challenging opportunity for a talented and creative Principal Software Engineer to join our Network Management team. The Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software on both Windows and Linux with strong concentration in Java, Client/Server and database systems.
Responsibilities:
Part of a team designing and enhancing an existing Network Management System.
Candidate must be a strong team player, and be able to design and implement quality code within aggressive timelines.
Requirements:
BSEE/BSCE/BSCS or equivalent experience
5 years of C++ experience required
2 years of Java experience required.
Experience developing and designing Client/Server software required.
In depth knowledge of SNMP protocol is required.
A good understanding of SQL database development.
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP, UDP, etc.) and network devices is required.
Knowledge of SOAP, VPN, User Authentication Protocols are a plus
Knowledge of embedded system development is a plus
802.11 experience is a plus
