To design, implement  packet processor integration modules for the Clients product

The position involves architecture, design and implementation of a high performance hybrid (hardware/software) fast path for a new 48 G switch/router product. The fast path is expected to integrate several technologies such as MPLS, security/firewall, QoS, IP v6 based packet forwarding. The candidate is expected to be a technical lead on integration of hardware switching plane with a software forwarding engine. The switching plane is based on fixed function ASICs.

 

Essential skills include expertise in TCP/IP and routing protocol suite, in-depth understanding of fixed function ASICs used for L2 switching and their driver software, DiffServ based QoS, L2 switching technologies. Implementation experience using industry standard packet processors is essential. Knowledge of Marvell's Prestera family of products is a definite plus.

 

The candidate is expected to have BS/MS in EE or CS with approximately 8-10 years of software development experience.

Skills: Real-time software development, C programming, Performance oriented design, IP routing, L2 switching, QoS  and forwarding path design.
