Payroll Manager
Position Summary
Senior Payroll leader with broad and deep Payroll expertise to direct the activities of the payroll function and interface with other Senior Managers to ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance.
Responsible for
? Builds payroll infrastructure which will scale with the business while ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time while meeting all compliance requirements
? Establishes service level commitments to internal customers and ensuring that service commitments are met or exceeded to maintain customer satisfaction
? Establishes operational and strategic objectives for the payroll functions across the United States
? Develops work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates who may work in other locations and states
? Develops a strategic plan for ongoing integration of the payroll function for the company?s new acquisitions, which will include interaction with senior management of other functions in the company
? In partnership with IT and HRIS, provides strategic direction on the systems roadmap relating to the payroll function
? Based on extensive experience and knowledge of industry benchmarks, implements world class payroll ?best practices? at Citrix
? Leverages extensive network within the Payroll field to stay abreast of payroll trends and forecast future developments
? Develops and implements policies and procedures for payroll process and timekeeping for all Citrix locations in the United States
? Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
? Focuses on long-term scaling of the payroll function to accommodate rapid growth while leveraging automation, self service and systems
? Ensures the timely generation of the company payroll, including labor distribution records, vacation and sick leave accrual, overtime and withholding status Receive, audit, approve and verify all payroll information
? Meets all government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions
? Partners with Human Resources Management on a regular basis to ensure the accuracy of all employee data
? Cultivates positive working relationships with external partners such as ADP, Banks, Tax Agencies, and Auditors Evaluates and recommends alternative vendors as appropriate
? Responsible for miscellaneous project coordination, i.e. ADP, SAP, etc.
? Directs GL reconciliation for payroll-related balance sheet accounts
Qualifications and Requirements
? Extensive Prior experience as a senior payroll manager leading the Payroll function of a large corporation
? Strong Communication Skills and previous experience working with senior management
? Experience and Ability to resolve complex issues, recommend and implement effective solutions.
? Strong knowledge of industry best practices and network within the payroll field
? Strong knowledge of ADP, Report Smith and SAP or alternate ERP
? Ability to streamline payroll processes, design work flows and procedures
? Ability to synthesize complex and diverse information
? Expert knowledge of payroll functions including compliance and tax laws
? Strong accounting and reconciliation skills
? Strong knowledge of taxes, reporting requirements, laws and payroll functions
? Strong ethics and the ability to maintain confidential information
? Strong to expert verbal and written communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of the company
? Ability to be a team player and adapt quickly to change
? BS Degree highly preferred
? AA/BA and CPP preferred
? Minimum of 10+ years payroll experience, including 3 years previous management experience in payroll related field
? Extensive experience in multi-state (specifically Florida and California) payroll processing
? Experience in hiring, training, developing and managing staff
