PeopleSoft Developers
Modis is seeking up to three PeopleSoft Developers for a 6-month+ contract in Charlotte, NC.
The project will be doing a major upgrade from PeopleSoft 8.0 to PeopleSoft 8.9 and a re-platform from mainframe DB2 to Unix Oracle. This work includes upgrades of PeopleSoft code in addition to transformation of developed code delivered in COBOL, SAS, Easytrieve, JCL, QMF, and other mainframe-centric languages to Unix equivalents.
Work closely with the functional clients to understand their business requirements and determine appropriate technical solutions in order to complete functional and technical design packets. Translate functional requirements into technical requirements/designs. Capability to transition from designers in the design phase to programmers in the build and test phase.
Required Skills:
. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to be very clear and concise.
. Experienced in PeopleSoft online application development using PeopleTools 8.47 architecture (SQR, PSQuery, App Engines, Component Interfaces, etc)
. Experience in developing real time integration utilizing XML and Messaging
. Experience in translating functional requirements into technical requirements
. Analytical thinker
. Self-motivated
. Ability to work in a team environment
. Experience in writing detailed design specifications
. 3-4 years experience in application programming development work
. 2 years experience in developing PeopleSoft using PeopleTools
. Working knowledge of MicroSoft office products
. Proficient in use of Oracle SQL and understanding of relational databases
. Good functional and technical knowledge of PeopleSoft?s 8.9 Finance modules including Asset Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Contracts, Treasury/Netting, Project Costing, Billing, and Accounts Receivable
. AIX experience using Oracle
