WE ARE?SEEKING?AN EXTREMELY TALENTED PERL SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join our team as we look into branching into new business areas and pull greater efficiency out of our core infrastructure. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, can take ownership of projects, can work well independently and in teams, writes clean, efficient Java & PERL code, and dabbles occasionally in HTML/JavaScript/SQL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Address scaling issues arising from storing large amounts of data and serving many web pages

? Design and implement new functionality

? Develop tools and utilities to track progress and provide statistics

Technical Skill Level:

? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related fields or equivalent field experience

? Very strong JAVA development abilities

? Very strong LINUX abilities, including multithreaded/multi-process development skills

? Good understanding of web protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS

? Good understanding of performance issues in a LINUX system and distributed environment

? Familiarity with web templating systems

? Familiarity with PERL

? Familiarity with MySQL

? Clear and efficient communication and documentation skills

Professional Skill Level:

? Able to work independently with minimum supervision

? Results oriented. You must enjoy working on the problems until solutions are found

? Able to take initiative

? Able to actively drive projects

? Be creative, patient and efficient, produce practical solutions ? Able to adapt to quick requirements changes and produce quick solutions ? Possess incredible attention to detail

Required Experience:

? BS in computer science or equivalent field experience
