Presales Systems Engineer

Opportunity Snapshot     Joining a leader in the rapidly expanding ECM/BPM arena, you'll leverage your technical expertise along with your extensive industry knowledge and sales presence to be a proactive and strategic partner in the pre-sale process.

 

You'll stretch your creativity in designing architecture for diverse large-scale enterprise business solutions in multi-platform environments, leveraging your expertise in object-oriented web-based design. Your activities will include conducting business reengineering studies and integration feasibility analyses, providing the technical aspects for proposals, and contributing to product presentations and demonstrations.

In addition to interacting extensively with highly talented software development professionals, you will be learning almost continuously.

 

What you'll bring to the table

 

? BS in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience

? 5+ years' proven experience delivering architecture for large-scale, multi-tier enterprise solutions in multi-platform environments, including some implementation

? Knowledge of the ECM, BPM, and WCM markets, including current trends

? Detailed knowledge of business processes and key business requirements

? Exceptional knowledge of business analysis

? Knowledge of current software technologies, including:

o  Prevailing software and system architecture solutions, including Java/J2EE, .NET, and

o  Web services such as Weblogic, Websphere, DB2

o  Databases (SQL, Oracle) and networks

o  Programming languages

o  Security systems

? Strong oral and written communication abilities

? Solid sales presence, including the ability to command a variety of audiences, from IT professionals to C-level executives

? Demonstrated initiative in partnering strategically and synergistically with Account Executives or other team members to drive projects forward

? Robust project management skills

? Solid presentation skills, including the ability to cover both technical and business topics. Ability to work in a team-based environment

 

 

Preferred but not required:

 

 

? Black Belt in Six Sigma is highly preferred

? FileNet product and/or direct competitor product experience

? Programming experience

 

Additional Remarks: Travel required.
