The Oracle Identity Manager Connector Development team has responsibility for architecture, design, and implementation of connectors for Oracle's Identity Manager product for provisioning. This department supports a variety of connectors working against standard interface protocols, Oracle owned targets (PSFT, Siebel), and 3rd party targets. The engineering group also provides on-demand support and assistance with customer proof of concept and deployment for the sales and support teams.

Highly skilled, motivated, and hands-on software developer with demonstrated and proven skills in design, development, testing, and implementation of the high quality enterprise commercial software through all phases of the development cycle. This is a senior level position -- the successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to mentor others, contribute architectural wisdom to a variety of internal and external audiences, view the product line from a higher level than the individual pieces and proactively direct development efforts into strengthening the entire product.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A minimum of seven years of software engineering or related experience required.

Preferred Skills: 7+ years experience with Object Oriented Design and Development Current (5+ years) hands-on experience developing commercial software using Java or C++ Familiarity with application servers including Oracle OC4J, JBoss, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere Understanding of database systems, SQL and data modeling principles Experience with commercial databases, such as Oracle and SQL Server Recent experience with J2EE, JMS, EJB, and LDAP Background in Web technologies, including JSP, Servlets, Struts, JavaScript, and Web Services Demonstrated success in working with highly scalable systems: Web and Back-End Business pressure sensitivity Thoroughness to produce meaningful documentation Proven ability to debug code developed by others Ability to mentor mid-level software developers Ability to code review work product from other developers Experience in a hands-on architect role including evaluation of competing technologies, development of overall implementation approach, and high level design implemented by a programming team Expertise in diagnosis and resolution of customer problems Ability to clearly describe and discuss both high level architectural features of a product as well as low level design considerations Exposure to enterprise level applications (Siebel, PSFT, SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle Apps) a definite plus!
