Headquartered in Waltham, MA, about 15 miles west of Boston, Phase Forward has development operations in the United Kingdom, and sales and service locations in Australia, France and Japan.

 

The Principal Technical Consultant will work as part of a global consulting team to implement and support Phase Forward's products and services to the health care industry.

 

The successful candidate works closely with Phase Forward's customers and project team members to implement solutions including enterprise configuration and deployment of Phase Forward's products, architecting custom applications and utilities, and performing complex systems integration.  The candidate will foster consulting best practices in the department and contribute to improving operational efficiencies.

 

Specific tasks include:Scopes client's business requirements and works with the project manager to manage on-time and on-budget delivery of solutions.Facilitates meetings with task groups of clients to identify user requirements, resolve issues and define plan of action.Uses structured methodology, professional and technical concepts to solve a wide range of complex problems.Looks to identify opportunities to modify processes or adapt technologies to reach the desred outcome more efficiently with improved results.Act as lead to implement solutions that include installation and configuration of products and design and development of custom applications and utilities.Architecting solutionsLead internal process/operational improvement initiativesEstablish and foster consulting best practicesProvide training and technical mentorship to other consultants.

 

The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership on projects, meet customer satisfaction and meet utliization goals, project revenue and margin objectives.

 

Must have solid database skills and hands on experience.

Willing to travel up to 60%.

 

Education/ Experience required:

 Minimum 7 years experience in senior consulting role preferably with a professional services firmBS/BA in computer science Adanced experience with Multiple databases (Oracle, SQL, *Server), Multiple platforms (UNIX, NT/2000/XP), Multiple Programming Languages (C++, ASP, .NET, BizTalk, XML, VB, PL/SQL)Must have project management or team leadership skills including:

-Scope Management, Work Planning and Work DelegationMust have proven experience in systems analysis, application design, development, systems integration and deployment.Ability to migrate to different platforms, applications and languages quickly.Ability to skillfully facilitate client conversations.Proficient consulting skills.
