Principal Test Engineer

L3/Titan Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Test Engineer with a current DHS or CBP clearance.


This Individual will lead a cross agency (both outside of DHS and within DHS) test team evaluating the implementation of e-passports. Individual will supervise test planning for an internal 2-4 person team and work in collaborative environment planning other agency testing activities. The individual will oversee the preparation of a System Integration Test Plan and will ensure the preparation of a System Integration Test Report. During test execution, the individual will participate in collaborative testing activities at CBP (Custom and Border Protection) facilities in Newington, VA; conduct daily test status meetings with US-VISIT and other DHS and external agencies (ex. Department of State), report on the status testing, Test Problem Report resolution, and any impediments to testing; and support Test Readiness Review checkpoint at the end of testing by briefing the results of testing.


Following the completion of this test activity (estimated to last until October/November 2006, the individual may be reassigned to other testing activities on US-VISIT or to the central test methodology team for the contract supporting the US-VISIT Test Staff.


(a) Minimum required:
DHS or CBP Security Clearance
10 years test experience in a structured test environment with 4 as a test lead
Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards for test activities and documentation
Work Scheduling
Excellent verbal communications and presentation skills
Good writing skills
Strong team skills


(b) Desired:
BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
5 or more years work in a CMMI Level 3 environment
