Purpose:
The primary job function is custom web applications development. This will include working with the client services and the engineering team to deliver customer projects from prototype to launch. The secondary function is to provide direct technical support to our existing customer base. The aspect of this job will include trouble shooting customer application issues and communicating the resolution to the customer and internal team members.
Responsibilities: Coordinate with client services team to customize Corbis? Digital Asset Managment application to meet individual customer needs. Taking the process from prototype to launch ? communicate with client services to determine priorities ? 45% time spent Work with the engineering team to put custom development into the baseline application ?document customizations done for customers, help develop s/w design specifications, and QA final product from engineering team? 20% time spent Provide direct technical support to existing customers ? take in support tickets or calls from customers, log activities in the service desk, log application bugs in DevTrack system and document project customizations for future reference - 35% time spent
Contacts: Team ? daily written and oral communication with team members around project status or customer issues. External ? Customer interaction on support issues
Qualifications and Skills Required: BA/BS, preferably in a technical field, and 2-5 years of relevant experience. Design and production of web based products including user interface web graphics, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.net ? mandatory (1-5 yrs exp) SQL, IIS/Windows Server, Visual Studio - highly desirable Adobe Graphic Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator for the creation of web graphics)? desirable Ability to work under tight deadlines, debug own code, work well with other team members, take projects from concept to launch - mandatory Skills in object oriented programming, user interface and web graphic production ? highly desirable Application client support and working in a direct client contact role - mandatory (1-5 yrs exp) Possibility of up to 10% travel
