Product Development Manager
OVERVIEW:
Bentley Systems, Incorporated provides software for the lifecycle of the world?s infrastructure. With 2004 revenues exceeding $300 million, Bentley is the leading provider of AEC software to the Engineering News-Record Design 500 and major owner-operators
The Plant division's role is to provide a comprehensive set of solutions for Industrial design and Process Plants. The Product Development position will be responsible management of all activities with regards to Bentley Plant Instrumentation and Control products. This includes understanding and gathering business requirements, working through the feature design process, software quality assurance, and release of I&C software product.
RESPONSIBILITES:? Work with the Senior Product Development Manager and Director of Product Development to set and maintain product priorities.
? Work with Product Marketing Manager to identify requirements and solutions for Instrumentation and Control software
? Provide technical leadership and oversight for the software development team and manage the development of Instrumentation and Control Design systems.
? Create comprehensive project plans and report statuses to Senior Product Development Manager, Director of Product Development and all other major stake holders.
? Oversee software architecture and design for Instrumentation and Control systems.
? Maintain and put into effect new software quality procedures to improve software integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS:? BA in Computer Science or similar analytical degree
? Minimum 7 years in software development (VB, C++, C#, XML,COM, .NET) or related field with 2 years project management experience or equivalent
? Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members
? Good judgment, decision making, and problem solving skills
? Ability to manage and execute projects successfully
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Experience with Instrumentation and Control software is plus
Technology
? Experience creating COM, COM+ and .Net applications
? Familiarity with object modeling techniques such as (ER, UML, OMG and RDM)
? Experience building multi tiered applications with COM and .Net
? Knowing how to build scalable/extensible applications for distributed environments
? Building distributed applications using web services is plus
