Position: Product Knowledge Engineer

Position Description:
The Product Knowledge Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of expert systems for business applications.
Specific Duties:
? Meet with clients to analyze their business requirements for the generation of the catalog content and rules definition to support the M2O software.(some travel required 15% max)
? Analyze and retrieve product knowledge using the Edgenet development process on various sources of information such as databases, manuals, catalogs, etc.
? Generate requirements documents as result of the analysis work which will be the basis for the catalog content database and rule definition
? Utilize proprietary Edgenet technology during the analysis, rules definition, catalog generation and debug process
? Serve as the technical contact for the client during implementation
? Architect, implement, and test of the expert system to meet client product requirements through object modeling
? Responsive problem resolution as a result of the QA and debug process
? Work with the Software Engineering group to customize m2o? to meet client needs
? Collaborate with the Project Manager to optimize the project efficiencies
? Support other members of the Catalog Services team during the above mentioned process
? Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience
1-2 years of programming experience in an Object Oriented Programming language
Strong logic capabilities
Team player mentality
Creative thinker
Client interaction project experience a plus
Strong communication skills ? written, verbal, and presentation
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Knowledge of DYI building products or specifically Millwork (a plus)
