Product Manager I
Exstream Software has an immediate opening for a Product Manager in our Product Management department in the Lexington, Kentucky office.
The Product Manager will work closely with customer, prospects, client executives, account managers, and technology partners to define requirements to improve software offerings and conceive new product extensions. This position will be responsible for enhancement reviews, functional specifications of requirements, release planning, opportunity support, competitive analysis, and product launch activities.
The Product Manager will work with the development and support organizations to build and deliver Exstream?s software product(s) according to the product plan, negotiate design trade-offs, and communicate significant deviations in plan attainment to management. This individual will articulate product content, benefits, and positioning to the distribution channels and marketing to enable appropriate external communications to increase product awareness, create demand, and ultimately assist sales in closing business.
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES:
* Demonstrated experience working with Software Development methodologies and Sales processes.
* Ability to identify competitors and develop competitive information sources.
* Supports Product Development and carries out product strategy.
* Demonstrated ability in helping to design and construct new features for products.
* Previous experience gathering product, customer and operational requirements.
* Understanding of font technology.
* Understanding of electronic formats and standards including XML, PDF, HTML.
* Familiarity with Internet technologies, architecture, and issues to include web servers, application servers, application security, and middleware.
* Understanding of print related technologies to include IBM, AFP, Xerox Metacode, PostScript and PDF.
* Understanding of output management solutions for archival/retrieval, print stream transformations, postal sorting and bundling.
