Product Manager

 

Position Summary
This position will be responsible for product management and product marketing activities, and is a key link between our development, customer service, sales and marketing teams. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with development to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for our services, helping sales and customer service understand competitive positioning, key benefits, and target customer needs. You will occasionally work with sales and key customers. Prior product management experience in the software industry is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage product roadmaps and maintain analysis of competitive products Develop and manage product release plans in conjunction with development, sales and client service departments; review development documents for conformance to plansResearch key attributes of each of our services for different target markets, develop unique selling propositions, and drive those deeply into development, marketing, sales and client service departments through.Coordinate input regarding enhancements to existing services and development of new services from customers, sales representatives and customer service team members. Conduct primary and secondary market research .Organize marketing activities for each release Lead the development of product messaging to be communicated in sales presentations, web pages, data sheets, white papers, press releases, etc. Support sales and client service with product expertise; communicate with key prospects and customers as needed

Education and Experience Bachelor degree from accredited university or college, preferably with a marketing, general business or technical emphasis Minimum 3 years prior work experience in a product marketing and/or product management role is required.Experience in software industry.Experience with SaaS / ASP delivery models a plus.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and ability to foster/manage relationships across multiple departments.Excellent organizational and communications skills, including ability to facilitate meetings.Excellent presentation skills.Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of project management and related tools (MS Project) highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects and project schedules effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job location is Portland, OR

 

Compensation: Offering up to $70k depending on experience. Applicants with salary requirements above this range need not apply.
