Product Managers

Our client is a well-funded start-up in Cambridge that offers a great environment that includes bean bag chairs, a plasma screen with X-box in the conference room, catered lunches, flex-time schedules and where dogs are welcome. One thing it doesn?t have in common with its dot.com predecessors: Paying customers who are lining up before they even go live. Getting in this early also means that equity is still meaningful.

This client is building an exciting web portal that supports collaboration in the physician community through the advanced use of taxonomies for tagging various terms and search facilities that can handle vast amounts of data. They have developed an innovative forum for the healthcare community to exchange ideas and opinions, and they need Product Managers to support the successful implementation and evolution of their product. Product Managers will have to either have a strong product background in creating applications for the provider/physician space or the institutional investment space, and preferrably hedge funds.

Responsibilities

?  The ideal candidate will initially own the vision and requirements, specs, UI design, usability testing, and technical writing, while developing and updating product plans that meet their business objectives.

?  Developing relationships with key customer contacts to understand user needs and issues will be a key aspect of the role, as will responding to customer enhancement requests.

?  To this end, the Product Manager will follow the client?s Product Life Cycle and working closely with other departments, individuals, and clients to achieve deliverables and timetables associated with product releases and product projects.

QualificationsThe successful candidate will have extensive business and marketing experience in product management, ideally in the healthcare or institutional investment space.Have experience both in a start-up/small company, as well as a larger organization.Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation experience, as well as experience interacting with the medical community.Proven ability to define both a conceptual model and detailed execution plans.Proven self-starter with demonstrated track record of managing multiple, concurrent, complex tasks.Proven ability to function as part of a team to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.Able to travel to client sites as needed BS degree mandatory, advanced degree would be helpful
