Job Description

Callidus Software is looking for a seasoned production operations developer to join our On-Demand Operations team to assist in the development of solutions for automating the production monitoring, event detection, job scheduling, and job recovery of multiple customer processing environments. The ultimate objective is to design and create the foundational infrastructure for a robust lights-out production environment which is integrated with event management, call tracking and support team response. You will be working with a team of seasoned experts supporting a world class sales incentive compensation On-Demand business offering. Underlying technologies include Oracle RDBMS, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Power Analyzer, BEA WebLogic, SUN Java System Web Server, Java, LDAP, Actuate, running in a SUN Solaris 10 environment in an enterprise class data center.

Required Experience A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering and 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience. Minimum 5 years in UNIX programming (shell scripting), including coding from scratch, troubleshooting existing code, job control scripting, process automation scripting Minimum of 2+ years experience designing, developing, and delivering solutions that automate production job control processes and event handling. Minimum 2 years experience with a job scheduler such as Tivoli Maestro, BMC, etc Minimum 2 years experience with Perl programming on UNIX, including embedded SQL and the use of Perl modules. Minimum 3 years experience with mainstream RDBMS interfacing in UNIX environment (Oracle preferred). Minimum 2 years experience with SQL (queries, stored procedures, query plans, optimizer) Technical experience working with Oracle RDBMS - design, structure, recovery, entity relationships, ODBC connectivity, importing/exporting, etc. Demonstrated initiative, ownership and independent judgment. Demonstrated customer service, teamwork, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated flexibility to effectively multi-task in a dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of productivity. Technical Skills UNIX shell programming (sh/ksh/posix - maintenance, importing/exporting, extracts, uploads, etc). Perl coding on UNIX; Solaris 10 experience preferred Oracle PL/SQL coding (embedded in Perl, or Java, or EJB) and data structure manipulation Sophisticated job control design and implementation using an industry-leading process scheduling application. On-going deep-support and release/patch/upgrade administration for worldwide customer base Java Server/Servlets development XML data interfaces and development Automation of event detection and handling Programmatic usage of call tracking systems Personal Skills Self-motivated and independent; Can produce high quality software within committed deadlines Must be a team player with high software quality standards and expectations. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong leadership and team building skills Works well without need for extensive supervision Any of the following skills is a plus Experience in enterprise incentive management Experience in CRM related software is a plus Knowledge and experience with open source technologies is a plus Experience with Web UI technologies, including JSPs, Servlets, HTML and Struts/Tiles
