Position Description

 

We are seeking an on-site production and desk-side support person for a National Service Center business group responsible for multiple applications including support for a Seibel Call Center using the FOGLIGHT monitoring tool.

 

? User / desk-side support

? Troubleshooting and investigation

? Hands-on user assistance and training

? Delegation and coordination of off-site support resources

? Ongoing system monitoring and reporting

? Review and analysis of application patches

? Ongoing status reporting

? Escalation of issues to appropriate 2nd or 3rd tier resources

? PC and system configuration

? Verification of regular batch jobs and interfaces

? Proactive performance monitoring

 

 

Required Skills/Background

 

? Strong verbal and written communication skills

? PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills

? Knowledge of PC and Server operating systems and applications

? The ability to manage multiple ongoing initiatives

? ClearCase & ClearQuest experience or equivalent

? Windows 2000/XP operating environments

? Very Strong SQL skills

? Mercury Quality Center/ Test Director

? Web or system development experience

? Experience with COTS software applications, particularly Siebel

? Experience with call center operations, hardware and software

? User training and/or training development

? Experience with Windows and Linux server environments

? Experience with Telephony environment
