Customer Testing

Responsible for the successful completion of all local Service Level ?A?  customer tests, including performing pre- and post-test reviews, and all associated documentation. Also, the environment set-up and clear-down before and after tests.

 

Service level ?B?  support for tests as and when requested.

 

Desired Skills

Unix Familiarity: AIX, HPUX, Solaris, Linux Windows Familiarity: 2000-XP

General: Enterprise Backup/Recovery/Storage Technologies (LVM, Veritas Volume Manager, SAN, TSM)

 Disaster Support

Provide on-call and on-site support for customers in the event of a failure or disaster being declared.

 Product Development

Continued involvement with the hands-on development of the ISIL products, coordinated through the Development department.

Provide input and ideas at all stages of the product development cycle. Coordinate the feedback from alliance partners and customers from within the region, with regards to the product.

Provide input, and be available as a testing resource for the product QA cycle. Report product defects and bugs, using the approved procedures.

Helpdesk Support

Support internal and external helpdesk requests, as and when they are raised.

 Training

Provide product and service training to alliance partners and customers as and when required. Provide input to the training process, to enhance all aspects of this service, including documentation and training material updates.

 Commercial

Provide technical input to the sales process, and communicate on a technical level with potential alliance partners and customers.

 Consultancy

Provide technical consultancy, on behalf of ISIL, to alliance partners and customers, as and when required.

 Technical Solutions

Assist alliance partners and customers by providing technical input to the solution design process, as and when required. Work with alliance partners to enable them to become more self-sufficient in this area.

 Documentation

Required for all tasks included in the job description. Creation of any training and support documents / manuals as required, to support both local and remote customers and engineers.Reporting

Provide regular reports and updates to the Professional Services and Consulting Manager on all technical aspects of the remote operation.

 

Travel

Occasional travel may be required for any of the tasks detailed above. This is most likely to be, but not limited to, North American destinations.
