Professional Services Engineer

We are looking for Professional Services Engineers to implement data privacy solutions that The Company sells to enterprise customers. The Professional Services Engineer is a technical role with customer facing responsibility. The person in this role will work in a small, dynamic team of individuals with experience in application development, databases, and security. This individual will be expected to work with both customers and sales, capturing customer requirements, defining and scoping implementations, and engaging with technical prospects to explore and propose infrastructure and deployment strategies.  Many projects will include integrating The Company?s encryption technologies into existing customer environments and therefore the amount of development and design work may be limited.  Much of the emphasis will be around recommending best practices for implementation and project management.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Design and develop solutions for the company technology to be deployed into environments where sensitive information needs to be encrypted

Supports the sales process, working closely with sales to develop the technical footprint and to demonstrate the technical value of our solution to qualified prospects.

Provide feedback on general product enhancements requirements to product management and provide technical input to the engineering organization.

Requirements:

 

Strong Project management and coordination skills

Willing to travel approximately 40-70% of the time

1-3 years real world programming experience (familiarity with Java, C++, XML, Oracle, SQL Server, or other databases)

Ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical persons

Ability to document requirements, and to write technical response papers

Experience deploying web servers, java application servers and database servers is desirable.

Some professional work experience with one year as a sales engineer preferred

B.A./B.S. degree required (Computer Science, Information Services or a related field)
