Professional Services - Operations Manager

My client is a large public software company and is currently looking for a Manager of Operations for their Professional Services Americas Group

 

Position Summary:  To provide the visibility, infrastructure, and controls necessary to effectively manage the Americas services business.  To ensure extreme accuracy in weekly, monthly and quarterly financial and operational forecasts and to optimize leverage (financial and quality/operational) with key internal stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

 

? Determine appropriate metrics across to measure business achievement / health and implement a  ?capture and track? infrastructure

? Determine optimal business processes for time tracking / staffing / forecasting and implement a supporting system infrastructure (PSA,, Time & Expense Tracking, etc) working with the various organizations that may need to be involved, like Finance

? Establish a weekly reporting process and automated dashboards to provide consolidated and accurate visibility into the Americas services financials and operational KPIs

? Establish joint process between services, finance, and sales to ensure accurate and timely Quarter / Fiscal Year close

? Establish a process that enhances the way we do staffing, tracking of skills and updating of those skills

? Establish a network of sub-contract resources to help in cases where they are needed

? Drive down costs of sub-contractors

? Move from manual processes to automated processes to drive efficiencies into the business

 

Minimum Position Requirements

 

? 5+ years experience in an operations and/or channel management role in the information systems or consulting field required

? Highly analytical with real world knowledge and experience of software and services accounting rules (VSOE, revenue recognition, allocations, etc.)

? Experience in business process analysis, redesign, system selection and implementation

? Program Management Skills ? Responsibility for end-to-end project life cycle for complex projects involving multiple groups and / or departments

? Knowledge of key financial reporting and CRM systems ? QuickArrow required; Oracle, Clarify, SalesForce.com, a plus

? College degree is required
